Anyone with access to project information, such as the owner, project manager, consultants, designers, and contractors can use INVEST. Each of these entities can leverage the tool throughout the project development process to look for best practices to incorporate sustainability. In some cases, it will require a team of owner, consultant and contractor staff (as relevant to a project) to collect information and score a project once completed and it will take a multi-discipline team of planners and engineers to evaluate all of the criteria in the tool.
